Attia Quinn the Gladiator

I should have had Attia Quinn, the Gladiator Slave that the party freed -back in Game 8- painted a while ago but for whatever reason I just wasn't in the mood for fantasy painting. However, I finally got it together and finished the Arachnophobia party's final NPC.

Attia has been trained as a gladiator her whole life, and seen many trials in the arena. She was on her way East to be sold to yet another owner when the caravan hee cage was in stopped at the Wolf's Head Inn.

Later that night, the inn was attacked by Giant Spiders and while the party fled they rescued Attia freeing her from the cage. Having no possessions, relatives, anywhere else to go, or anything to do she joined the party.

Attia is a skilled fighter, and will certainly make a valued edition to the group, once they are able to arm her. In 2nd Edition, Gladiator is Fighter Class, that levels as a Paladin/Ranger. Their main advantage is that they are proficient with all weapons, and instead spend their slots to become specialists with weapons. Where Fighters, Paladins, and Rangers can only have one weapon specialization that they choose at the start of character creation; Gladiators can specialize in as many weapons as they have free proficiency slots.

Attia's mini comes from Rebel Minis, makers of some fine 15mm Gladiators, and these weird 15mm Pirate Rats... Check them out!

Kevin Trall

Kevin Trall is one of the survivors from the spider massacre at the Wolf's Head Inn. He fled with the party after killing a spider himself, and got to know the group a little bit. as they travelled together through out game 10.

Kevin is Half-Elf (though he is embarrassed about that fact), and a potter by trade who had fallen on hard times. to make ends meet he took up a peculiar profession: As the Executioner in the town of Brightenholme.  Unable to live with himself any more he fled that title and his seeking redemption.

The role is admittedly slightly clichéd: that of the outsider and tortured Half-Elf, but he makes for an interesting addition to the party.

Kevin's mini is from Essex Miniature who does a wide variety of 15mm fantasy and historical figures. I do find their scuplts to make people a little squat, but in some case it works perfectly, and in this case I love this mini from their peasants collection.

MiG 15's

Last week I finished up a pair of F86 Sabres this week I finished a pair of MiG 15's to take them on!

As far as I know, aside from the F86 having a superior gunsight, the MiG 15, and the Sabre were consider quite equally matched, and the USAF even used f86's to simulate MiG's when developing a fighter to combat them in the Korean War.

Assuming that fact was captured in the Check Your 6! Jet Age rules then our first battle in should be a fairly even one. And given that these planes only have High Velocity Machine Guns not too much of a change from our Lewis, and Spandau Machine Gun wielding World War 1 planes from Canvas Eagles.

These two minis are from GHQ Miniatures makes of some of the finest Military models in the 1/285th scale available.
